March 2008,
Dear Reader:
Great to know spring's around the corner, isn't it? In Denver, we're still getting the occasional snow storm, but for the most part it's warming up, birds are singing, and I can step outside without slipping and sliding all the way down the sidewalk.

Earlier this month, I attended the Left Coast Crime conference, which was great fun. Met some interesting new writers (like Kelli Stanley, who's created a new genre: Roman Noir. Yes, it's a noir novel set in 83 A.D.--too cool, huh? Check out her website at www.kellistanley.com). At the conference, yours truly sat on the "P.I.s in the 21st Century" panel, moderated by mystery writer Mark Coggins, along with PI genre writers Harry Hunsicker, Barbara Fister, Mario Acevedo, and Michael Siverling. Here's a picture of us (I'm second from the left, hidden in the shadows as any good PI should be):

That's it until next month! Have a great March, Colleen
